• He did not come to throne cos he was not ard when his father died.
• Where was he? He went to get married...
• Hearing the news of his brother's throne, TAR merajuk and went to Riau island and relax one corner until Sir Stamford Raffles came and brought him back to Singapore secretly so that the Dutch will not find out.
• Sir Stamford Raffles offered to officially gave TAR the title of Sultan of Johore and pay him a sum which was quite a lot at that time, every month on condition that he allow Raffles to start a trading centre in our little island.
• And so everyone in S'pore at that time, came and watch the signing of the treaty- a treaty which was developed by a foreigner to settle 2 brothers' dispute.
• A treaty that was signed to put Raffles at an advantage so that he would be able to turn Spore into a British colony-at the same time, settle his mission of finding a trading port for Britain-i.e fulfilling his duties.

TAR, how clever of u to allow someone foreign to settle a silly dispute between you and your brother and handing S'pore over to Britain just like dat!It's a good thing that Raffles or rather Farquhar turned S'pore into a successful Trading city. Imagined if u had hand our island to someone who cannot be trusted...You treated the signing of the treaty as something so trivial, something of an advantage to you. As long as ur being called the Sultan and as long as you get paid $5000 a month, u simply dun care what the British did to our country.

Haha, readers, imagine if at this point of time, we were to have a leader like that governing our country.Can we trust that kind of person?
